Road Trip

For Thanksgiving we took a road trip south to meet cousins!!

First I met my cousins in Alexandria, Virginia.

We made delicious banana bread

visited the American History museum (favorite part...the cafeteria)

and had so much fun playing together!

Even baby Will was very entertained by George!

Prior to visiting my next cousins, we made a stop at Monticello

It was very pretty

but by far my favorite part were the little pebbles on the ground.

Next I got to see my twin cousins!!!
We played endlessly

And I absolutely

LOVED

every minute I got to spend with them!!!

Then I traveled even further south and met a cousin I didn't even know I had

he was a very sweet boy!

And now we're back in Michigan.
No cousins here, but many great friends!

A Visit to the Apple Orchard

The day after we got home from Seattle,
my Mom insisted we go to an apple orchard

She LOVES them, but not because of the apples....
because of the doughnuts
(they're her absolute favorite)

I liked my doughnut, but what I loved about this apple orchard was the slide

At first I was a bit nervous

But then I had a blast

And so did my Daddy

My Busy Month in Seattle

I started our trip by teaching my Daddy what landing is for

sleeping
(and only landing)

Once we arrived my Mimi and Papa Joe's...

I played with my baby dolls
and Tasha,
of course

ate delicious food

went on my first kayaking trip with Mimi

and tried on many, many,many
pairs of shoes

I also thought I should help my Mimi and Papa Joe around the house, so...

I "cleaned" their windows

"reorganized" their cupboards

and "swept" the grass

You might wonder what Will was doing while I was so busy...

He slept

watched some football with Papa Joe

slept

then smiled

and slept some more

I miss my Mimi and Papa Joe, but am sure glad to see my Daddy again
...when he's awake too

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween
baby Will was a cow

and I was a ladybug--
sometimes a devious little ladybug

and other times a very sweet little ladybug.

We decided to start the day off with a Halloween storytime
where I played with puzzles

followed by some "trick-or-treating."

My friends and I were a bit skeptical

but perked up once we realized candy was involved

"Trick-or-treating" was a bit tiring

but the reward was so sweet!

Halloween ended with the best treat of all

time with my Daddy
and baby..doll that is

I'm 2!!!
To celebrate, we went to the Children's Museum.

My Mom says you would have thought I was at Disneyland
I was so excited to play with all the toys!

I especially loved the kitchen set

the water station

and driving the fire truck--you must wear the hat too.

Then I patiently watched my Mom make some cupcakes

and decorated them with my friends
before finally eating them

It was such a fun day

I'm so happy to be 2!

went to Chicago

I got to stay with the my friends Audrey and Drew

and had a BLAST!!!

My parents and Will said they had fun too...

We arrived Seattle to frigid temperatures

and a power outage that lasted 4 days

So we sat in the one room of the house we tried to heat with an electric heater
(we had a generator that gave us lights, but not heat)

And froze
(I even had to wear a hat, shoes, multiple pants, and sweaters to bed)

and then one day the heat came back on

and I am so thankful for that

we enjoyed the tour of the F-150 plant so much I got a hat

Farm Peekaboo

When I see this book I flap my arms and kick my feet. It makes me so excited and happy--must be the pictures of stuffed animals posed as farm animals

I love opening the flaps and touching the textured pictures...it tastes pretty good too

I have no idea why my parents keep trying to introduce me to different books.
