I'm 3!!

Yesterday was my birthday, so we had a party.
Look who came....my Mimi and Peter Pan!
(who's walking everywhere)
 We decorated pumpkins

 with LOTS of paint,
played my favorite game
 "duck, duck, goose,"
 and ate yummy treats.
My Mom made the strawberry cake I asked for, but it was a bit more challenging than she planned.

I DID NOT want anyone singing "Happy Birthday" to me,
so instead I blew out a really big candle
(and our house didn't burn down).

Dancing queen takes on Seattle

I may have walked down the aisle,
but my real moves are on the dance floor

Can you believe Will slept on the dance floor at our second wedding?
But a girl can't spend all her time dancing...
I also spent my two weeks in Seattle
taking care of Meka
(FYI she has sharp teeth),

telling Will how to use his bucket,

trying on lots of fancy shoes,

practicing my golf swing,

and picking tomatoes from the vegetable patch
( Will might have mistaken some dirt for a tomato...woops).

Aunt Claire and Simon also came to visit
we had so much getting reacquainted.

Will's Party

A slip-n-slide, two kiddie pools, a dozen beach balls,
and a truck
What more would a one year old boy want at his birthday party?
Perhaps a Mom who took more pictures :)

Happy Birthday Will!

Happy 1st Birthday
Baby Will!!
The day started off with a yummy breakfast
followed by what Will seems to think is a pretty entertaining activity--
 emptying the recycling bin.
Then we went on a walk
and stopped at the park to celebrate some more.
 We came home tired.
Next I showed Will how to open his presents.
We liked playing with his new fire truck.
Then we visited Jack who decided Will needed a new hat
and his first haircut
 (I think he was scared).
Next week we're going to celebrate more.
He'll probably get to eat his first cupcake then.
But for now, Happy Birthday baby Will!

We're back!

WE'RE BACK!!!
from our six month sabbatical
just in time to celebrate

 baby William's 1st birthday!!!

But before we celebrate, I'll catch you up on what we've been up to:
I took my first bus ride to the hospital with my Daddy
and had a delicious breakfast at the hospital cafeteria.
I put lots of decorations on one Valentine's Day cookie
and poor Will felt left out.
 I'm officially potty trained
and Will eats food.
We celebrated another romantic anniversary dinner with my parents--6 years!!
(don't worry they went out on their own the night before)
And learned we'll be in Michigan for the next 7!!

Then in the same week, we celebrated
 Mother's Day
Will's baby blessing
and my Daddy's graduation--
by the end Will and I were a bit tired of pictures as you can tell.

And then the travels began

First we went to
the beach
and the pool with my good friend Caroline.
(I like to count when I jump and wear my bathing suit backwards)
Then we rode bikes in Northern Michigan.
Will and I were content in our trailer.

We drove to New York
to see my Great Aunt Margaret--she's 102!!
Followed by Connecticut to see my twin cousins
Rosemary and Elizabeth (and their Daddy, Uncle Sam)
I can't tell my cousins apart so I just call them both "Rosemary Elizabeth." We had so much fun!

Next, an airplane ride to Utah

  where my parents hiked
and Will and I enjoyed our view from backpacks.
I tried to carry Will, but he was too heavy.
I went on my first chairlift ride
It was scary.
We also got to see the temple
 and visit our family.

Next stop, California to see Aunt Claire and visit
 Disneyland!
Will and I were a little scared meeting Minnie Mouse
but once we left, I couldn't stop talking about her.
Back to the airport
Did you notice I have a new backpack--with a unicorn?
It goes everywhere I go.

Now that we're home our Daddy is working a lot
so we wait by the door for him
and in between waiting, I'm probably "fixing" my bike
or helping my Mom when she goes to the store--
I'm measuring Will's head in this picture (it's big!)
